How the MOT test works
The MOT (Ministry of Transport) test is an annual safety and emissions inspection required for most vehicles over three years old in the UK. Only authorised Vehicle Testing Stations (VTS) may conduct tests.

Finding an honest station
Check: (1) the station appears on the official DVSA register — you can do it right here; (2) which classes it is authorised for; (3) published pass rates (coming to this site once API access is granted); (4) independent reviews.
